My amigo Tom and I hiked up to the crest you can see in the first photo. Comanche Peak is somewhere up around there.
The water in the same photoĀ is from Emmaline LakeĀ where we had already hiked up to--2,000 feet and 7ish miles from campus. The crest is another 1,000 feet in less than a mile... and it sucked..
On the way down we couldn't see where we were going at all and it confused the hell out of us. We knew to just keep walking and we'd run into the water eventually (right?!?) but it seemed to takeĀ so much longer than it should have. We did eventually make it home.
