📍 Cirque Meadow, Colorado
End of summer, 2024. Me and a couple fellow "Eco Experience Leaders" went up under Rocky Mountain National Park's Mummy Range to camp at the lovely Cirque Meadow for a night. Only a few days later and for two months thereafter, we would be taking large groups of 5th graders along these same paths. We'd be babysitters, though, rather than fun-loving adventurers seen here.
Love it when trees do this. So resilient. What caused it? A landslide? A human? Someone educate me.
The meadow. A moose haven. The "Mummy" ridgeline is hardly out of view up to the left. The composition here is truly one of my favorites. Too easy.
Up at Emmaline Lake, right under the Mummy
Definitely not staged
Gus is a straight goof. A source for great laughs. Seen here with his sculpted piece of cheese roasted over the fire.
Not enough focal length. Oops
